The nephew of the renowned Tabla player, Ustad Arshad Ali Khan Sahib, who also became the most obvious choice of teacher, Shehzad started training from the age of ten. It wasn’t until the year 2000 when he performed his first show with Sajjad Ali. From thereon he played sessions with Faakhir Mehmood, Hadiqa Kiyani and Ali Zafar as well as toured across Europe and India.

A master rhythm player who is skilled to play every skin instrument such as dhol, dholak and tabla – he’s currently working as a music arranger and recording traditional music for folk albums in Sindh and Saraiki.

After his debut in the last season, Shehzad joins us again in Season 10 for another fruitful season of Coke Studio.
